Catching up DJ Sneak in europe get more likey again. Good for us that Weekend club made a special night with him. 
He combined that with a visit at Jay Haze´s studio…one of his buddys over Berlin. We met him for his second big passion cooking. And were quite curious what we would have on the table. After we can say having a reaaal
 „Puerto Rican“ food prepared from Sneak is a delicious thing. Yam Yam!

In Weekend Club then he blew it all away…What a great House sound!

Good Job Sneak…get the vibe of Sneak´s DJ gig and the smell of the food over the screen on the next Slices Issue 4-09!

Goin Undaground was the motto of the day. The location was phenomenal for the Mad Scientists. This is the new project of Aux 88 from Detroit.

We were in the basement of an old city indoor pool in Berlin-Wedding which is reused for art projects sometimes. Its a really great and kind of spooky location! Check their website: www.stattbad.net

Aux 88 assure with sympathy and being exceptional gentle guys. It went even more expectional when we heard their interest on Sci-Fi and Future and how that effects their sound which they give the name „Techno-Bass“.

Question of the day…Who made Who?
Over Kopenhagen Tomas Barfod, Jeppe Kjellberg and Tomas Hoffding can answer the best to that. We met the band to have a promenade at the cosy coast of the nordic sea of denmark.

What a great view with a sun smiling all day at us. Lucky we are with the weather these days also in Kopenhagen all day sunshine.

The Whomadewho Boys told funny tales out of school. Some about vodka and some about memorable live moments. After a good danish meal in the „Lil pharmacie“ we went to their studio. See it all on the next slices Issue 4-09

Today we had a rendezvous with the guys of Smallville label in their recordshop. We were hosted very friendly with tea and had a nice chat. Perfect to start into another lovely day in Hamburg. We got the feeling that this guys live and share their passion with all their music friends. Good to see that this kind of networking places still find existence! Another good reason to SAVE VINYL!

After a few mates joined us we went on to go really DEEP… through the Elbtunnel. Props to Hamburg and big thanks for a nice stay!

SLICES SHOT NO.4 FOR ISSUE 4-09 – SOLOMUN

SLICES ISSUE 4-09. SOLOMUN
Hamburg – October 13, 2009

We met Solomun at his own club EGO which is close to Hamburgs Reeperbahn.
From there we started a little roundtrip through Hamburg.
Solomun grew up in Hamburg and you can see when you go around with him that he loves it here piece by piece! We changed from one interesting station to another in the City.
First stop was Hamburgs Michel, a famous church, from where you have an amazing view over Hamburg.
Then we walked to St. Pauli Landungsbrücken and Solomun took us on a boat trip through the port.

We saw huge transport tanks coming in the port from everywhere of the world..massive!
Next stop was the Gängeviertel, a melting point of subcultures, with a vibe that was very inspiring.

After almost 8 hours we did all our pictures plus interview and finished our working day.
Tip: For seeing the Magic stabs exhibition go and see Solomuns club „Ego“. We can just recommend it.

On sunday morning very early we woke up to move to a greenscreen studio for doing the Slices „WIN or LOOSE“ quizshow with Varoslav from Paris.
Our day got bright to see our gorgeous quizmaster Miss DeVain with awake eyes and good concentration.

She didn´t make it easy for Varoslav. We had fun though seeing him struggeling, explaining his answers.

Slices Issue 3-09 – Release Date: Sept. 15

YELLO – Virtual Concert in Berlin at Kino International (Oct. 01)

Electronic Beats Classics is proud to present a visionary new music experiment by the highly influential Swiss duo Yello: Touch Yello, a virtual concert. The cornerstone of the evening in Berlin will be the world premiere of this 50-minute movie that visualizes classics as “The Race”, as well as songs from the group’s new album – to be released October 2, 2009.

Touch Yello evokes moods, pictures and movie scenes. For the creation of this virtual concert they’re working with Kevin Blanc, a swiss moving image designer and art director. The premiere of Touch Yello will be acconpained by live performances by the famous German jazz musician Till Brönner and singer Heidi Happy.

This groundbreaking event will take place October 1, 2009 in the charming and historic Kino International Berlin. Ltd. Tickets (19,-Euros) will be available soon. Stay tuned for further information.

Slices Shoot No. 9: YELLO

SLICES ISSUE 3-09. YELLO
Zürich – Aug 08, 2009
On the 8th of August we went to Zürich for the last shoot of SLICES Issue 3-09
with electronic pioneers Yello.

On the most turbulent weekend in Zürich that we could choose with „Streetparade“ we made our way to the Yello Headquarter! We met Dieter and Boris and their nice manager Peter who all made it most comfortable for us.
After a short brainstorm we started to do some shoots in their holy studio and interviewed Boris about the Yello Sound, producing and so on.
He played some samples of the upcoming album to us and we were very impressed about the coolness and deepness of the new sound that made us goosebumps all over the body!
After the studio part we did an interview with Dieter about the visual side of Yello, art and more.
Next on the schedule was a visit in the Postproduction studio to have a look into the material of their upcoming show which they prepared exclusive for „Electronic Beats Classics“.
We were flashed by amazing animation and again goosebumps, goosebumps!

It was really inspiring to talk with these Gentleman and they showed us how you can be still cool and innovative after 30 years. Thank you for the nice day at „La Casa Yello“.
Put warm clothes on for the upcoming show „Touch Yello“ on the 1st of october at „Kino International“ in Berlin. ENTERTAINMENT GARANTEED!
